The True Meaning of Easter
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Galatians 3:13-14
Because of what Jesus accomplished on the cross, we are redeemed from every curse in every area of life. That is not just a spiritual idea, it is something that applies to how we live day to day. We are no longer separated or lacking, but brought into a position of identity and purpose. Through Him, we become true sons and daughters of Abraham, which means we are heirs to God’s promises. What was spoken over Abraham now extends to us through faith. That changes how we see ourselves, how we think, and how we approach life.
1. Spiritual Warfare
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10
Walking in the truth of the cross comes with a real fight. There is a spiritual resistance that shows up when you start believing and living out God’s promises. The enemy is not passive, and he will challenge your faith because he understands how powerful it is. If he can get you to doubt, he can keep you stuck. That is why the battle often shows up in your thoughts, your circumstances, and your emotions.
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.
Revelations 12:11
The key is learning to stay grounded in faith, not in what you see around you. You focus on Jesus and the truth of God’s Word instead of reacting to pressure. The cross is not just something to believe in, it is a weapon you actively use. Your words, your belief, and your consistency all play a role in pushing back against what is trying to hold you down.
2. God’s Promise of Prosperity
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
3 John 2
You have to understand that God’s intention is not for you to struggle through life without provision. He desires for you to be whole, stable, and supplied in every area. While the world chases money and security, God’s design works differently. When you align with Him, provision begins to follow you instead of you constantly chasing it. That shift changes your mindset from survival to purpose.
When Jesus went to the cross, He took on more than just sin. He also bore the weight of lack and insufficiency so that we would not have to live under it. Being “rich” is not just about money, it is about having more than enough in every area of life. It means having peace, stability, and the ability to meet needs beyond your own. That is the kind of life that allows you to move with confidence and clarity.
3. Being a Blessing
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:8
The reason God provides is bigger than just personal comfort. If you are always operating from a place of lack, it becomes difficult to help others or make an impact. God’s supply is intentional and generous, not limited or restrictive. He gives so that you can move freely and respond when opportunities come.
Living blessed means you are positioned to give, support, and build others up. It is not about holding tightly to what you have, but about understanding the flow of provision. When you trust God, you stop thinking small and start living with purpose. Whether it is your time, resources, or influence, everything becomes a tool to serve something greater than yourself.
4. Rich in Good Works
Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
2 Timothy 6:17-19
This is where balance comes in. God’s blessing is real, but it is not meant to pull you into pride or dependence on money. It is meant to keep you grounded while still allowing you to enjoy what He provides. There is nothing wrong with having, as long as what you have does not control you. The focus always stays on God as the source.
Being rich in good works means you are active with what you have been given. Your faith shows up in your actions, your generosity, and your consistency. You are not just receiving, you are building something meaningful. The cross made all of this possible, and your response is what brings it to life. Faith is not passive, it is something you live out daily.
Final Reflections
Easter is more than a moment, it is a shift in how we live. The cross gave you freedom, purpose, and access to everything you need. Step into that truth and stop settling for less than what has already been paid for. Walk it out daily and let your life reflect it.
