4 Ways to Unlock God’s Blessings

4 Ways to Unlock God’s Blessings

This is our year of Joy and Jubilee and we receive this by faith. Joy and Jubilee deals with our freedom, debt cancellation, rest, restoration, and unexpected blessings (income). We need to train ourselves to conquer that evil spirit that can often influence us into expecting the worst, expecting that bad report.  Expecting the worst is a force that will ultimately attract the negative in our life. Although we will experience challenging times, we need to believe that God is greater than any challenge or any circumstance. This year let us flip that negative thought and expect the best: unexpected income, unexpected blessings, and unexpected favor from God. Today let us expect a Joy and Jubilee miracle!

1. Obedience

Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.

Deuteronomy 5:33

God does not bless us based on how good we are, not even because we did everything right.  The truth is when God blesses us we often feel like we deserved it the least.  It isn’t even based on our behavior; like we are going to earn it.  However, there is behavior that qualifies us because we have to prepare for it, and we have to be ready for it.  God will give us our promised land little by little as we work with him through our obedience to His direction.

2. A New Thing

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

Isaiah 43:19

When God wants to do a new thing in our life, we have to first get rid of the old thing.  We may not be ready for the new thing so there’s a purging that has to happen.  We can find ourselves resisting and even believing that the purging is from the enemy.  But in reality, it is God cleansing us and getting us ready for that new thing He has for us.  Imagine if what we have today is doubled tomorrow by God’s miracle blessing.  Can we handle it?  Are we ready for it?  God loves us so much He will not hurt us.  He will get us ready by purging, cleansing, and preparing us for our promised land.

3. Better Relationships

Restoration for relationships–the right ones.  Sometimes relationships are not restored ever but God will give us new and better relationships.  Because the people around us are going to affect us.  We may have had many bad relationships in our life from childhood and into adulthood.  But God will bring good people, mentors, and good relationships.  Also, restoration for our family and our finances.  We are blessed examples and testimonies of God’s goodness!

4. Perseverance

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:1-2

Faith never quits! When the enemy comes at us with the temptation of sin it is to condemn our hearts.  It won’t be God holding us back from our blessing, it’s our own hearts that have allowed sin to condemn us, keeping us from our blessing, our promised land. A condemned heart will hold us back from receiving God’s blessing.  This is the enemy’s purpose, his goal, his intent to rob us of our blessing and keep us from possessing our promised land. We let go of the enemy’s condemnation and fix our eyes on Jesus, the restorer, the redeemer, the perfecter of our faith!
