Faith Battles

“Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy Kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven.”

Matthew 6:9 & 10

God takes something that is a mess and makes it into a masterpiece; He takes something in the spirit and brings it into the natural. I want to talk to you about the Kingdom of God and how you can receive everything God has for you. In the Kingdom of God, He works on your mansion, finances, health, and destiny. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done.

This is available for you right now. The Bible says the Kingdom of God is inside of you, and how you access that kingdom is by faith. Faith is the currency of Heaven. If you have faith, you understand faith. If you know the laws of faith and how to operate in it, then you can receive anything from God. Everything you need is available if it’s in the Kingdom of God.

Freedom City Church has possessed multiple buildings worth millions. Some doubted that we would be able to get the building we are in today, but we now have the entire city block. How did all of this happen? It was from the Kingdom. First, we have to get it in the spirit from the Kingdom, then bring it into the natural.

“And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.”

Mark 5:25-29

1. Active Faith

This woman spent all she had with doctors. For twelve years, she was still subject to her illness. Instead of getting better, she only got worse. She was wealthy, successful, and had a husband, children, a home, and a life. Then the sickness hit her body. Her type of sickness labeled her an “unclean woman.” According to the law of Moses, anybody with that disease was not allowed in public. Because of this law, she lived in isolation: she lost her husband, children, and home. She spent all her money seeking a cure for her disease. Her situation had become hopeless.

Then she heard about Jesus and risked everything by going publicly to find Him. She told herself that if she just touched Him through the crowd of people, she would be healed. Finally, she reached out, touched Him, and she was immediately freed from her illness and suffering.

A very important, decisive moment in this story happens. Jesus told her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you.” This scripture contradicts lots of religious teachings, but it is a fact! It was the power of God that healed her. However, Jesus was emphatic when He told her it was her faith that healed her. Jesus wasn’t giving His power the credit for this miracle; although, it was His power that healed her. It wasn’t until she had active faith that she could receive that power.

How many of you need that power, miracle, or breakthrough today, but don’t know how to connect to the Kingdom of God? We must understand the laws of faith and how faith works. Some claim to know this already and find it a cliche, but it does not matter if we have heard it before. It is about knowing and living it to see the results. If we have an active faith, we will have tremendous results.

2. Laws of Faith

I want to teach you how to walk by faith and receive from the Kingdom. The very first principle we learn from this woman is she heard about Jesus. It is crucial how you hear. Not just what you hear but how you hear about Jesus. You can hear about a religious Jesus, a healing Jesus, or a providing Jesus. Satan hates the Word of God. He knows that word creates the force of faith.

Now, there are two terms in the Bible concerning God’s word:

• Logos – the written word
• Rhema – when God reveals His word

There are many faith failures because the logos word (the written word) does not become a rhema word (a revealed word). It’s all God’s word; however, when you have a rhema and God reveals His word to you, that’s the currency of the Kingdom! That is precisely what happened when we took possession of our current building. I got a rhema word from God.

“And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.”

Isaiah 22:22

This was my proof and evidence for this building; my rhema word from God. When we believe for something big, God will give us not just one Rhema word but multiple. He wants us to hear that word and build a case of faith. Faith is reality, substance, and material! Just because we can’t see or touch it, don’t discredit it. If we get faith, we have it. But we have to build our faith.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Hebrews 11:1

3. Spiritual Warfare

When I first received my rhema word for this building, all hell broke loose. They gave the building away, and then COVID hit. Everything in the natural said we were not going to get the building. I was even told that we would never get possession of this building. What all of these circumstances and voices did not understand is that I had something higher than their words and their confessions. I had a word from the Kingdom.

Today, Freedom owns this building. Faith always works and always produces! There is no such thing as a faith failure. If something fails, it is not faith in God. We have to know how the Kingdom of God works, and it works by faith. It all begins with hearing.

4. Sowing of Seed

In Mark 4, there is the parable of the sower of seed and the type of ground that the seed falls on.

The Bible says some people are like the seed along the path where they hear the word. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word sown in their heart. If what I am teaching about faith doesn’t work, or doesn’t produce, then why does Satan believe it works? Why does he go right after that word once it has been sown?

We know all about the word of salvation, but what about healing, prosperity, and purpose? When that word comes, the enemy will go to work to steal that word out of our heart. This is why we must get a rhema word from God. Once we have a word from God, faith comes by hearing, and that word will produce.

My parents were in a situation that natural solutions could not fix. They needed a miracle. They once heard from a pastor in the past, “If you have a problem, find a promise.” Their problem was very obvious. They had three dysfunctional children: a crack cocaine addict, a meth addict, and myself, a meth addict/manufacturer and drug dealer. They went to the word of God for promises for their three problems. Promises for their children’s salvation and freedom. They began building their evidence from scripture. They filled up entire notebook pages, front and back, of scriptures: promises for their problems.

These scriptures were logos words that did not produce faith until they began meditating on and speaking them continuously. Then God began bringing revelation as they meditated and spoke those words. Eventually, that light will come out, faith will produce, and the rhema will come.

Soon, my parents started walking in confidence. Everything in the natural was telling my parents I would come home in a coffin or go to prison. The authorities even raided their home with eighteen police cars looking for me. Talk about having faith! When we have a word from God, and we have a knowing in our heart, we must not let the devil steal it. We have to lay hold of that promise and never let the devil take it. That promise will always produce every time and right on time. It will produce 30, 60, and 100 fold because God’s Kingdom is our inheritance. Let your kingdom come; let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

The woman with an issue of blood spoke those words repeatedly, building her faith as she went after Jesus, “if I touch Him, I will be healed!” As we declare the promises of God, our confidence is building. Then, all hell will break loose because the enemy is trying to steal that word from our hearts, sending trouble and problematic situations to distract and discourage us. But we must stand firm on the rhema word God gives us.

Final Thoughts

Faith comes when we speak it. Meditate to reveal. Our faith brings salvation and deliverance. Because of my parents’ faith yesterday, today my entire family is whole. It was God’s power and He gets the glory, but Jesus says it is our faith that makes us whole.

According to your faith, let it be done to you, but it all starts with a rhema word from God. Don’t do anything until you have a rhema word, and once you have a word, you have faith, and if you have faith, you have mountain-moving power.
