God Is A Miracle Working God

God Is A Miracle Working God

The kind of mentality we have will determine what we have. We serve a miracle-working God, but must develop the capacity for miracles. The problem is that we lose our imagination because we’re so caught up with the things around us.

I have seen people be blessed in a way that our minds can’t even imagine; we question it. At a point in my life, I asked, “God, why does this not happen more in my life?” The response was simple– I was not having faith like a child. I had lost my imagination with God. That is why you cannot limit God or put Him in a box. Seek, believe, and trust that God is a miracle-working God. The Word clearly states that all things are possible to those that believe (Mark 9:23).

1. What Are Some Miracles That Jesus Performed?

“Jesus also did many other things. If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written.”

John 21:25

What are some miracles that Jesus performed?

Jesus turned water into wine, healed the official’s son, healed Peter’s mother-in-law, drove out an evil spirit, performed the first miracle of fish being caught, cleansed a man with leprosy, healed a paralytic, healed a man’s withered hand, raised a widow’s son in Nain, calmed a storm, cast out demons into a herd of pigs, healed a woman in the crowd, raised Jairus’ daughter from the dead, healed two blind men, healed a man unable to speak, healed an invalid at Bethesda, walked on water, healed many sick in Gennesaret, healed a woman’s demon possessed daughter, healed a deaf man, fed five thousand people with five loaves and two fish, healed a blind man at Bethsaida, healed a man born blind, healed a boy with a demon, miraculously paid His taxes, healed a blind and mute demoniac man, healed a crippled woman, cleansed ten lepers, raised Lazarus from the dead, restored sight to Bartimaeus, withered the fig tree, healed the soldier’s severed ear.

God wants to perform miracles for our families and us. He wants to perform miracles in our bodies. He wants to perform miracles on our children. Miracles, Miracles, Miracles! Where are all the miracles? God is waiting for you to believe.

2. Tell The World What The Lord Has Done

“Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones (suicidal). For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!” When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” So the man went away and began to tell in the ten cities how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.”

Mark 5:5,8,15,19-20

Before getting saved, I tried to quit drugs every day. I was so shattered and broken that I couldn’t get free even if I tried. God heard my cry and did a miracle by setting me free.

My sister visited me one day when I was in the men’s recovery home. As she first glanced at me, her whole face changed. She started crying uncontrollably, ran up to me, and grabbed me, saying, “Where is my brother? What did you do to my brother?” I responded, “It’s me! God did a miracle! God changed my life; I’m a new creation. I’m not the guy that I used to be!”

If you were to line up all my drug addict and drug dealer friends and ask which one you think will be a preacher, you would’ve said, “None of them, but especially not Jason!”

God says, “If I could do it for Jason, the worst of the bunch, I can do it for you and your family!”

3. Giving Releases Our Faith for Miracles

God does miracles for us, so we must give back financially, spiritually, and with our time and talent. When we do so, we must understand that we can never out-give God. You have to listen to the voice of God and hear what you are supposed to sow for and what the amount should be. Move out of the natural realm and get into the miraculous. Stop trying to figure it all out, but instead, allow yourself to be directed by the Holy Spirit. Don’t sow because I’m telling you, but do it because God is telling you.

“[Remember]: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to others] will also reap generously [and be blessed]. Let each one give [thoughtfully and with purpose] just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver [and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift]. And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.”

2 Corinthians 9:6

Final Thoughts

God doesn’t give you miracles just for you, but so you can rise up and testify of the goodness of God. If He speaks to you and you obey, you will enter the miracle realm. We’re going to give big, build big, and take our cities.
