Having A Conquering Mentality

Having A Conquering Mentality

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:30-39

We are more than conquerors through Him! The word conqueror is defined as above and beyond, over the top, top notched, no match for, unsurpassed, unequaled, and unrivaled. This is who we are because that is who He is, and we are in Him.

1. Graciousness Of God

God’s goodness brings a change in our life.  Everything that pertains to this life, and godliness, we have NOW. He is going to take care of everything we need to have victory in this life, including everything spiritual. Understand, we are not getting blessed on our own merit, but it is because of His unearned, undeserved blessing and favor He gives us all things.

He gives us all things because He has already given us the main thing: He gave us Jesus. God wants to bring victory and abundance into our life! Our main focus should be to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and everything we need (food, clothing, shelter, family, etc.) will automatically be added to us.

2. God’s Goodness

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.”

2 Peter 1:3

Has God been good to you?  I believe we can all shout out at this time a big YES. We didn’t have to earn it.  We didn’t even deserve it.  However, God’s goodness is received by our faith in Him. We ask, we believe, then we receive. A very simple Biblical principle we have as children of God through salvation.  When God starts manifesting His goodness in our life, everything changes completely. This is all He wants to do because He is our Father, and He loves us.

3. Repentance

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?

Romans 2:4

Repentance is when we change our inner self, our way of thinking, and the direction of our destiny. What can bring this kind of change? The answer is not our own will power but only the goodness and mercy of God. When we experience God’s forgiveness through salvation, it will cause change in our life. But change doesn’t happen overnight, it is a journey and before we know it, we won’t talk like we used to talk or walk like we used to walk. We will start sounding and walking like God speaking to mountains to move.  When we start acting like God, our nature will change, and we will be strengthened to escape this corruption of lust that is in the world today.

4. A Condemned Heart

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

Genesis 3:1

It is not necessary to seek God’s approval because we are already approved through His mercy and grace at that altar of salvation. It is such a simplistic Biblical principle. It will encourage us to move forward and leave behind condemnation which comes from the accuser of the brethren–Satan. All of the enemy’s accusations bottleneck our faith and keep us from moving forward in faith. Who do you think you are?  Look what you did? That’s not for you, you’re a sinner! God is mad at you! Did God really say that? Our response to his accusations should be I am a conqueror, and I am moving forward!

Final Thoughts

The more good God brings into our life, the more good we get.

Faith is in the future, faith moves forward, and faith takes the land!

It is by our faith we overcome and conquer.
