How to Believe God for More
Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
Joshua 1:8
We all would like to live a successful life. God is saying here if we’re going to have success in anything that we do, we need to put His Word continually in our mind. When we apply His Word to our life, then will we begin to flourish in every area: our finances, our health, our family, etc. His Word brings the wisdom that will navigate us to our promised land!
1. Imagination System
Then he took him outside and said, “Look at the sky. Count the stars. Can you do it? Count your descendants! You’re going to have a big family, Abram!”
Genesis 15:5
Imagination is the part of our mind where we can visualize something that is not manifest in the physical world around us. If we can see it, we can have it. If we can see the invisible, we can do the impossible. Every time God wanted to do something supernatural and powerful, He dealt with imagination just like in this scripture. He took Abram, an elderly man, with a barren wife, outside of his tent to expand his imagination. If our imagination is set on the Word of God and the vision of God, then God can work with us to bring life into our wilderness.
2. Imagination’s Opponent
The devil also wants to come in and affect our imagination. He knows once he gets our imagination, he gets our emotion. Once he has our emotion, he has our action. Imagination is a system: we imagine it, we feel it, then we act on it. This can go both ways: negative or positive, good or evil. Imagination set on God’s Word will produce life. Imagination set on the devil will produce death. So, the right imagination, the God imagination, the God thoughts will produce a God-life.
3. Surrender Our Imagination
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2
Imagination is built on one thought at a time, and when we surrender our imagination to God, He can renew our thoughts to fit in His plan for our life. When God has our imagination, He has our future which is our promised land. This is when God can begin to use us for His glory, when He blesses us so we can be a blessing to others. This is when he turns our desert into the Garden of Eden, reaches into the ashes of our life and pulls out beauty.
4. Fruits of the Holy Spirit
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23
When we begin to surrender our imagination to God we will begin to walk in the fruits of the Holy Spirit. These fruits are strong forces which bring abundance in every area of our life providing us with the strength to fight our good fight of faith on this miraculous journey to our promised land. Believe God for more by surrendering your imagination to Him!
FINAL THOUGHTS
The only way out of the laws of sin and death is by applying the law of life in Jesus Christ.
We cannot have good success without applying the law of abundant life and part of this is the law of the imagination system!
One of the fundamental keys to operating in the law of life is the imagination system.
If we can see it, we can have it. If we can see the invisible, we can do the impossible.
