How To Believe In Miracles
God is working on your miracles. It always amazes me how He does it. I can’t tell you how often I thought a miracle was coming from a certain direction, and it didn’t come through. But God comes in from another direction. God has many different ways to get miracles to you. God doesn’t always show you the end, how it will turn out, or even how you’ll get there; but, sometimes He says to trust and believe that He’s working on your situation. Just trust Him.
1. You Must Believe That God Is More Than Able
The key word is: believe. You have to believe that God is able to perform miracles and that His word will come to pass in your life. You have to believe it, receive it, and you will see it.
“Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask for or even think according to the power that works in us.”
Ephesians 3:20, 21
That means when God shows up, He will blow our minds. God is and forever will be able, because God has the power to make the impossible possible. He has the power to back up what He says. Someone can make you a promise but maybe something happens that doesn’t allow them to back up their promise. There’s good news: We serve a promise-keeping God that can do everything He promises.
“If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Mark 9:23
It’s not always easy to believe. There’s fear, and it’s real; fear wants you to believe in it. There are circumstances, pressure, or temptations to not believe God. But, you will enter into a position of belief and move into the all-things-are-possible realm if you can cut through the lies of the enemy and the circumstances you face, and learn how to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
2. You Must Speak By Faith
You must speak by faith even though the situation may be terrible. However, you must not be intimidated by the circumstances because you carry the authority of the promise of God. If you want to carry authority in the middle of opposition, you must hear the word of the Lord. He is working miracles even when you don’t see them.
You have to be careful who you allow into your world and who you allow to speak into your life. You might have someone around you that carries unbelief. Sometimes you must block people out by not receiving their doubt and fear. We don’t want to hear about the problems; we know there are problems. We need to hear the word of God!
“When you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is the word of God.”
1 Thessalonians 2:13
The Word of God is indeed effective at work for those who believe. The Word of God is helping you and operating on your behalf right now. Every time you decree and declare what God says, you strengthen the Word of God in a situation that requires a miracle. That is all that God needs to move on our behalf. He needs us to come into agreement, and once there is an agreement, the more we believe, and God has an opportunity to move and perform miracles.
“Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer .”
Daniel 10:12
Final Thoughts
There are angels and demons in the spirit realm, and these devils don’t want to turn loose your breakthrough. Some things must be moved around in the spirit realm to manifest your breakthrough. Don’t allow the enemy to oppress you with anxiety and depression, because worry can get in your mouth. If you begin to vocalize your defeat, the enemy will have you where he wants you. But we will not vocalize our unbelief. Instead, we will decree, “It is written!”
Make this your confession today: “God is able. God is capable. I will not lose heart or quit because although I may not see it, God is working on my behalf. I will continue to declare the Word of God.”
