How To Do Great Things For God

How To Do Great Things For God

When God releases a word over our life (prophetic impartation) He makes an investment in that word. It is the Holy Spirit in us that is the fulfiller of that word, that promise! The Holy Spirit will prune, purge, and preserve us making sure that word spoken over us comes to pass, in spite of us.

“The word of God never fails!”

Luke 1:37

1. A Journey In Humility

“For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Matthew 23:12

No matter what our God-ordained calling is, we walk with humility, God’s humility, knowing that 120% of that calling is Him: the anointing, the gifts, the calling. Our journey, as He guides us, should be to live a holy, healed, healthy, happy, humble, hungry, and honoring life! This is the secret to doing great things for God.

2. Pursuit of Holiness

“For it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

1 Peter 1:16

Holiness is not based on what we do but who He is in us and what He does through us. In Genesis 6:8 it says if we pursue righteousness, He will favor us. We can get this all wrong when we get the idea that if we do the right thing then God is going to bless us! Yes, God desires to bless us. However, what this really looks like in scripture is, God can bless us so much, and yes we can truly, truly like His blessings. Who wouldn’t? God’s ways are not our ways. But when we study His ways throughout the Bible, the real truth is He can take that blessing away if we don’t continue to pursue a holy life. Holiness is vital when doing great things for God.

When we stop giving glory to God, His blessings can cease until we get back on the humility trail and give Him the glory to all of our story!

3. Healed and Healthy

“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.”

John 15:11

We have to allow God to heal us from all of our life’s traumas. Those traumas have to become our testimony. We have to live healed: mind, body, and spirit. We also have to be healthy mentally, relationally, financially, and physically. We do not pursue happiness; we pursue holiness and happiness will follow!

4. Honor

“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.”

Psalm 89:14

Honoring will get us from one level to the next when pursuing righteousness and the promises from God. We honor up, we honor down, we honor left, we honor right! We honor our parents, we honor who goes before us, and we honor who comes after us. We live a life of honoring!

God will take us from glory to glory and our testimony becomes His story! His blessing will chase us down. We don’t have to pound on doors. He will open doors for us as we walk holy, healed, healthy, happy, humble, hungry, and honoring life!

Final Thoughts

Humility sustains a kingdom for generations to come.

We have to go from trauma to testimony, from drama to destiny.
