How To Get Rid Of Guilt And Shame

How To Get Rid Of Guilt And Shame

Jesus is the Son of God, and He is also the Son of man. He is both! He is pure enough to be God’s Son.  He also has the human body to become the Son of man. It is very important for us to understand the manhood of Jesus because He is the one who paid the price for our sins.

1. It Had To Be A Man

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

Romans 1:17

Jesus was our Substitute.  By the trespass/sin of the one man Adam, death reigned and ruled–through that one man.  Once Eve and Adam ate the forbidden fruit, sin entered into their bloodline.  Once they began their family, their children were born into sin.  This means they no longer had the nature of God in their spirit.  Their nature was now changed to become more like God’s number one enemy Satan.

2. Gifts From God

Understand, God gave man authority on this planet.  He doesn’t give something then take it back.  What He gives is irrevocable.  For example, when God gives gifts and people use those gifts to do evil against His divine will for them, God can’t take that gift back.  Look at the psychic phenomenon today.  Those people have a gift from God.  They are seers and have a prophetic gift; but, instead of using it for God, they listen to demons then tell people their future and their past.  They will tell you the truth, but they will also tell you lies, and before you know it you’re caught up in a web of deception. If you want to know your future, go to the Word of God.  The future God has for you is blessed.

3. The Fall

When Satan discovered God’s plan (for man to rule on this earth and reign guided by God’s divine direction), he devised a way to enter into the nature of man through sin which resulted in separating man from God’s original plan.  Through the fall of sin, Satan was now able to use man to do his will of stealing, killing, and destroying.  We find the first sign of Satan’s plan when Cain murdered his brother Abel.  Murder originated from Satan, not God. Now, death is reigning everywhere.

Satan’s stealing, killing, and destroying got so bad, God had to start all over again in the story of Noah and the Ark.  Human nature was corrupted by the fall.  However, for the present time, we have the salvation of Jesus on the cross that changes our nature to a born-again nature, which is back to His original plan.

4. The Gift Of Righteousness

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

Romans 1:17

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  Adam was the son of man but his sin resulted in spiritual death for all, and everyone after him was brought under the dominion of Satan.  In order to save mankind from their sin, it had to be a man to pay the price for man’s sin.  Because the wages of sin is death.  A price had to be paid for man to be set free from Satan’s nature of sin.  God looked high and low, He looked everywhere beginning with Noah, Moses, David, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, etc.  They all fell short because they were all born into sin.

God knew He had to send His Son, Jesus, to pay the price for the sins of the world by the miracle of the immaculate conception. Through a young virgin woman from Bethlehem named Mary, God places a God-man-seed in her womb.  Her child will be born all man but His Father is God Almighty.  The wisdom of God is unmatchable, unequaled!

Jesus grows up normal as a man until he reaches the age of 30 and steps into His purpose and His destiny. The Spirit of God was upon Him and He was anointed to preach the good news and shake the foundations of the world.  He was the son of God and the son of man, and soon religion put him to death, the very act of sacrifice that will pay the price for man’s sin.  We now can receive God’s abundant provision of grace, the gift of righteousness, and rid our life of guilt and shame!

Final Thoughts

Jesus is the son of God and He is also the son of man.  He is both.

It is the manhood of Jesus that paid the price for our sin and our sin-nature was changed to a born-again nature, back to God’s original plan.

Through one man’s sacrifice on a cross, we now can receive God’s abundant provision of grace, the gift of righteousness, and rid our life of guilt and shame.
