How To Have Greater Authority

How To Have Greater Authority

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 9:6

Jesus came to this world as a King and we, His church, need to bring His Kingdom to this generation! God wants to rule in authority over His kingdom here on earth and His church is His vessel.

1. God’s Rule, Authority, and Dominion

There are two kingdoms in this world. There is the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness. There is a saying: God is in charge of everything! Now this is true at a certain level; however, it’s also not true. Because if God is in charge of everything then why are children dying? Why is there murder and mayhem everywhere? Why is there chaos amongst the nations? God is not making all of this happen. The Bible says Satan makes all of this happen.

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”

Matthew 6:9-10

When God created Adam and Eve He gave them dominion, rule, and authority. He is King in heaven and He needed them to be His king on earth. He ruled from heaven and every day He came to the garden and walked with Adam and Eve fellowshipping with them telling them what He wanted done on earth through them.

2. The Kingdom of Darkness

Satan watched this authority, rule, and dominion as it was being birthed. He knew a kingdom was being built through man. When God made earth, it was made as a replica of heaven.

When God gave Adam and Eve authority, He said flesh and blood will have authority on this planet! This is when Satan deceived Eve and caused Adam to rebel. Now, they were no longer bringing God’s kingdom to earth. Satan’s thoughts infiltrated planet earth. The first sin turned God’s perfect peace in the garden into shame as Adam and Eve hid from their Creator. Then they have a son named Cain who killed his brother Abel. In comes murder.

Shame, murder, and all of the evil did not come from God’s kingdom. It came from the kingdom of darkness. All demonic spirits speaking to men leading them to destruction, leading them to mayhem!

As mayhem infiltrated the earth through the kingdom of darkness it destroyed everything God had originally planned. This is why God brought the flood: to wipe away sin and the consequences of it from this world. He wanted to wipe the slate clean so to speak.

3. Free Will

God’s Kingdom and the kingdom of darkness are at war on planet earth vying for souls. The voice of the light and the voices of darkness roaming this earth seeking who will come under their rule and follow through with their agenda: darkness and light.

This is why Satan has his best generals in high places, in power of government, in parliament, all over the globe. People who will carry out his diabolical plans like killing millions of babies: to steal, kill, and destroy.

So when we say God is in charge we should be saying we are in charge! We are in charge when we choose what voice we will listen and adhere to. If we sit back passively believing God’s going to do whatever He wants to do when He wants to do it, because He is in charge, then we give up our assignment and our obligation.,

This is a perfect attitude to allow the devil to waltz right into our life and take over, and rule over government to education then I will corrupt the entire nation. But God is raising up a church that is taking back what the devil stole!

And the government will be on His shoulders and His name will be called Emmanuel–God is with us!

4. Jesus Came To Take Back Rule, Authority, and Dominion

Jesus just didn’t come to touch us, He came to take over. He said the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our God. The church has a Kingdom assignment! We are not here by accident nor coincidence. God wants to use each of us to take over something. He wants to use us to raise our children to learn how to take over something. God’s rule, authority, and dominion.

“But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.”

Matthew 12:28

Jesus is saying here, because He is God’s son, He drives out demons. Which also means we have that same authority to drive out demons by the spirit of God who lives inside of us. He is showing us what and how to change this world.

“I give you authority over all the power of the enemy. You will walk amongst snakes and scorpions and nothing will harm you.”

Luke 10:19

Final Thoughts

We have the authority to change this world. Religion puts it all on God, but He puts it ALL back on us!

If we do our part, God will always do His part.

The kingdom of darkness understands authority.
