How To Have Hope Again

How To Have Hope Again

God is a deliverer: a drug addict can come to His altar of salvation and never do drugs again! One encounter with Him and He will show you your future, a future you never dreamed possible because He is the God of possible. He is El Shaddai the all-sufficient, all-knowing, the Almighty God.

1. Entirely Free

“But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.”

Matthew 6:33

When we seek after God we are entering into His presence. It is in His presence that changes us and sets us free from our past, from the lies of the enemy that kept us in bondage to sin. It is only God’s power and anointing that can set us free. All we have to do is diligently seek after Him and after His presence.

The only thing that separates us from God is our sin. But His son Jesus had no sin, and because He had never sinned, Jesus walked in harmony with His Father. Jesus never experienced the abandonment of a father, and He never experienced betrayal until Judas. Jesus would not do anything unless His Father told Him to do it.

2. Power Of The Cross

“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God (the cross) that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew and then to the gentile.”

Romans 1:16

At that moment in time, on the cross of Calvary, when Jesus was taking our sin and about to die for them, His Father looked at Him carrying all our sin. God had to turn His back because it was the moment Jesus was going to pay the price for ALL of OUR sins.

When Jesus died and then rose from the grave, He left our sin in hell, where sin came from. Then His relationship with His Father was restored. The beauty and the power of what was accomplished on that cross was, if we call on Jesus, and He comes into our heart, the same relationship Jesus has with the Father, we can now have!

3. Heavenly Father’s Benefits

A father gives us identity so if we have experienced abandonment, any type, we search the world for identity, a world cluttered with ideologies, dangerous ideologies. It is the blind leading the blind because the world is not in relationship with Heavenly Father. The world can only guide us to destruction.

However, when our relationship with God is restored, we are now positioned to receive our identity from Him. God will tell us the truth of who we are and He will wash away all the lies of the enemy. An enemy who is the father of lies and places many labels over our life: you are this, you are that. But God’s word will replace all those labels with His truth: You are a child of God! You are a new creation! You are more than a conqueror! You are blessed coming in, and you are blessed going out!

4. The Power of Hope (Faith in God)

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?”

Matthew 6:26-30

When we are in fellowship with God, when we focus our trust, our faith in Him only, He will take care of EVERYTHING! This is the greatest gift we can receive, the greatest gift we can give our children, knowing we have a Father in heaven and He will take care of us. Let us give God praise!

Final Thoughts

We need to take a deep breath in the presence of God and allow Him to guide us into a life of hope and a life of victory.

God wants to take our burdens and our worries from us, if we will just surrender to Him and trust in Him.

We allow God to be our deliverer, our counselor, our peace that surpasses all human knowledge–the God who gives everlasting life.
