How To Prepare For The Next Season

How To Prepare For The Next Season

Our harvest begins with a rhema word, which is like a blueprint from God. This is what He did with Noah. God gave Noah a vision for a boat and told him it was going to rain. God told Moses to build the tabernacle, which He showed Moses on the mountaintop. When God wants to do something, He will give us a vision, show us a future, and provide a strategy. Sometimes these plans will be for what we desire.

Sometimes, God will use other people and their lives to show us what ours can be like. This is not for covetousness but for the purpose of inspiring us to dream bigger. A good example could be to aspire for a greater marriage like somebody else.

1. A Vision And Strategy

God never gives a vision without a strategy to make our vision happen. If we want the miracle of the water then we must dig the ditch. If we want the miracle of two fish, five loaves of bread, and multiplication, then set the people in groups of fifty.

We need to get the excitement of a vision from the spiritual realm and bring it into the natural. This is called the laws of the harvest. In order to reap what God has for us, we need to get a hold of the laws of the harvest.

2. Strategy

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Galatians 6:7-9

God is not going to reap, we will. We plant and water but God gives the increase. We work the strategy with all of our heart. If we want a large and plentiful harvest, then we will have to have a lot of work. Sometimes we want a big harvest but don’t want to do big work.

Hard work produces plenty! We are going to own properties. We are going to purchase land. We are going to build empires for God. We are going to build economy. We are going to have the best jobs! We are going to work hard because we don’t work for man, we work for God Almighty! We don’t complain or murmur, we work as unto the Lord!

It is not just about the ethic of working hard. Plenty of people work hard without the blessing of God. The blessing of the Lord maketh one rich and adds no sorrow. Sorrow means painful toil. This means every time we get ahead there are holes in our pockets and everything seems to leak out, meaning we never get ahead. So we are not just talking about hard work. We are talking about vision, strategy, and working our plan.

A farmer must plant seed, water it, and then nurture it before he can harvest it. If he doesn’t plant seed he will not be able to harvest his land. This is an agricultural fact! However, this fact of sowing and reaping also pertains to financial harvest according to the Bible. If we want to reap a big financial harvest, then we have to sow a big financial seed. This is a Biblical fact. Whatever a man sows, he will reap!

3. Perfect Timing

We maintain a strong spirit of faith as we wait on His perfect timing. God has a perfect time for everything. When we first plant a seed we need to water it and watch it grow. This process takes time before we can reap our harvest.

The wait is where a lot of people lose their harvest. It is because we don’t know what God is doing during the wait. If we are impatient then chances are we may never walk into our harvest because patience is a virtue. It is one of the great virtues that Christ gave us.

God will do something in our hearts while we are waiting for our harvest. He is preparing us for what is coming. There are certain things He is working on in our hearts so we are ready to receive these harvests.

“Until the time to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character (and the word of the Lord proved him right).”

Psalm 105:19

When our harvest arrives it will let everybody know, even when we were in a season of testing and without a harvest, God has been with us all the time!

Final Thoughts

It is through faith and patience we will inherit the harvest of heaven and the promises of God.

If we are not ready emotionally, spiritually, relationally, the blessing of God can actually become a curse.

If God is going to give us a harvest, there will be a wait. It is in the wait where He prepares us for the harvest.
