Importance of Church Conferences

Sunday worship service is no doubt a great experience! This is a place where we can open up more and more each Sunday. Each week the worship builds upon another as the word takes us deeper. However, in a conference atmosphere a spiritual encounter acceleration (intensity) occurs. What can take twenty-six services can be accomplished in three to four days of a conference.

1. Acceleration

How does this happen? Our focus is accelerated (intensified) and a spiritual immersion occurs. It’s like building an army and you send your recruits to boot camp where they are immersed for a duration of time which is usually several months. Hence, something powerful happens when we come together in a conference atmosphere. This spiritual acceleration allows the Holy Spirit to go deeper with us during the continuance of the conference.

Just like a Sunday service, there is a schedule to adhere to in a conference.

2. Motivation

Our motivation when attending a conference should give us the desire to receive a word from God. We need to come hungry and honor the pre-planned program before us and come with an understanding that a conference has the power to accelerate us as the church. It accelerates our hunger, accelerates our encounters, opens us up more, and sets us free. It is an intense time for three to four days!

3. Spiritual Warfare

“But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in His own house.”

Matthew 13:57

What you honor is what you receive from. What you receive from is what you give away. What you give away is what you become like! In this scripture Jesus was not honored in his own country and in His own house because He knew all their life-issues. It was where He was raised, so they could not receive from Him because they did not honor His spiritual gifts. Because they did not honor Him, they were not able to receive from Him. Yet, He went to the next town and performed miracles.

Where there is honor, there are miracles. Every miracle Jesus performed was attached to honor. So when we honor God by attending a conference hungry and ready to receive a word, then God is able to deliver. We are committing our time, whether it be three days, four days, or an entire week, to focus on God to change our life.

4. Authority

Featured speakers bring authority to the pulpit. With that authority, momentum and acceleration is released into our life through what they carry from God. It could be many things such as authority in the spiritual realm, authority in discipleship, or even authority in business. When we honor what they are carrying, we are able to receive, give away, and become!

Final Thoughts

Honor is the key to unlocking our faith.

When featured speakers with authority converge onto a conference, what they carry is released through the power of the Holy Spirit!

When you converge fires, they become so powerful you can’t stop it. You can stop one fire, but you can’t stop converged fires!
