Living God’s Way
The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.
Exodus 3:7-8
There are many crying out and suffering today, held captive by the slave drivers of anxiety, sickness, depression, addiction, etc. Two-thousand years ago God sent His Son Jesus to rescue and deliver us from our captivity whatever that may be! However, we have to make the choice (free will) to follow God’s plan.
1. God’s Plan
God has a promised land for us! We never lose focus of God’s plan of a promised land. We proclaim that over our life because there is power in our words. Our words either speak death or they speak life. Speak life today that God has a promised land for you! But we must begin with making the choice to follow God’s path. His path will lead us into our promised land.
2. God’s Path
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
Matthew 7:13
Entering the narrow gate to God’s path through our salvation is just the beginning of God’s plan for us. We must now walk the road of His path to our new life. That road can be lonely and not always easy at times but it has to be done if we want to live the life God has for us. Salvation gives us the freedom from sin and sets us free from the shattered pieces of our past life allowing us to move forward down the path He has set in front of us. The path to our promised land!
3. Freedom and Healing
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.
Luke 4:18-19
We now have freedom in our soul, in our healing, and in every area of our life. This scripture proclaims God’s anointing which is a burden removing, yoke destroying power for all of His children to receive. He came to heal our wounds, our broken hearts, and to break poverty mentality and lack over our life. If we follow God’s path the good news is there is healing and freedom. God will put ALL our pieces back together again.
4. Spiritual Warfare
On the path the enemy will come with accusations of our past, the sins, the destruction, and the shame, reminding us of things God already forgave us for through our salvation. He is the accuser of the brethren. It is what he does. His only plan is to steal, kill, and destroy! We counterattack his attacks with God’s word and His promises over our life. This is when we learn to fight the good fight of faith against our enemy. As long as we are holding onto our past, believing in his lies, we can never move forward. His accusations are intentional. He wants to stop us from getting to our promised land. The enemy doesn’t fight us for where we are on the path, he fights us for where God is taking us–to our promised land! So make the decision today we are letting go of our past and moving forward on the path and living God’s way!
