The Mindset of Victory

The Mindset of Victory

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:58

Being steadfast, immovable, and always abounding in God’s work are principles that will cause us to win.  They are also conquering spiritual tools we use to overcome our opposition, those fiery arrows of assault from our enemy. Of course, we are always in a position of victory as we move forward and keep moving forward to our promised land!

1. Abounding

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Joshua 1:8

We should be learning something new every day if we want to abound in life, in our career, and in the Word of God.  We are growing and we are maturing–all necessary to win in every area of life.  Absolutely essential when building a mindset of victory.

2. Immovable

When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart.

Matthew 13:19

The soil of our heart is where the Word of God is planted.  The enemy knows we are soil and the Word of God is a seed.  When we get the Word of God in the soil of our heart, and it goes down deep, eventually it will sprout into a tree of God’s promises and bare fruit!  No matter how long those promises take to show up in our life, we are immovable and rooted in God’s word, in His promises.  Our determination should be stronger than the forces of the enemy relentlessly in pursuit of snatching God’s word (seed) from our hearts.

3. Power of God’s Word

The Word of God is like a seed.  When it is planted in our heart, and we start believing in something, walking in faith for His promises, nothing may appear right away.  This is because our faith is going deep and it takes time to grow before it blossoms into a mature and fruit-bearing tree.  Eventually, we will bear fruit in those areas of defeat and loss making those areas better and recovering all.  Therefore, being a blessing in the very areas we obtained loss.  This is the power of God’s Word!

4. Spiritual Warfare

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

1 John 4:4

The enemy fights us not for where we are but for where the Word of God is taking us once it gets rooted and grounded in our heart and becomes a fruit-bearing tree.  His word has the power of life and death, and the power to dethrone all of Satan’s power!  We have to be patient with God waiting on His promises and maintaining a mindset of victory so we can conquer Satan and get to our promised land!
