You Are Well Able to Overcome

You Are Well Able to Overcome

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith.

Romans 1:17

Faith in God can move mountains.  Faith has the ability to receive from God.  Apart from faith, we cannot please God.  This is the very reason the enemy hates faith.  We build our faith in God, in His Word, in His character, and in His love because this is where we find our victory over the enemy.

1. God’s Sovereignty

The teachings on the sovereignty of God infers what is going to happen is going to happen and God is in control.  There is a truth to this; however, we have to be in the middle of the road.  Because there is also free will and God will not override our will.  For example, it is God’s will that we have life more abundantly. Yet, we have to make decisions as we hear the word of God, believe and receive, and allow our faith to activate His will for our life. On the other hand, we can also reject God’s will for our life. So let us understand clearly the sovereignty of God and our free will.

2. Authority

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Luke 10:19

In line with our faith, we have also been given authority to change our circumstances and situations to receive from heaven.  As we listen intently to the word of God being preached, faith will explode in our hearts.  When our faith explodes, we allow the supernatural to take place.  The enemy knows the power of our faith in God very well.  This is why he is relentless when he battles with us doing everything and anything possible to steal our faith.

3. Activating Faith

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 10:17

Let us identify where our faith is today.  Do we need healing?  Do we need a financial breakthrough?  We need to understand how to claim our healing or our financial provision.  God has already provided us with the authority to proclaim ownership but we need to speak to those mountains we want removed.  This will activate our faith through our authority over the enemy who is standing between us and God’s will for our life–His promises.  We are releasing angels with our authoritative words, and those angels, on our behalf, will fight for us in the spirit realm and possess what belongs to us.

4. Faith and Patience

And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”  So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.  For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Mark 11:21-23

Jesus cursed that fig tree on their journey and when they were returning days later the tree had withered away.  It didn’t happen immediately but days later.  He knew faith can take time when He continued on the journey.  He did not doubt His words!  This is when faith and patience comes into play.  It is in the waiting that the enemy does his best work by assaulting us with opposing words into our situation.  It’s not working!  You’re not going to be healed!  God can’t provide for you!  You won’t find another job!   We walk by faith and not by what we see.  Have faith in God no matter how long it takes for our situation to change and we will overcome the attacks of the enemy.
