The Truth About Hell Exposed

The Truth About Hell Exposed

Let’s take a look at what the Bible says about hell. First, hell is a real place, a place for Satan and his foul demons–where they rule. It is a place for those who reject Jesus Christ, are not born-again, and will be separated from God for eternity.

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment. This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the flesh and despise authority.

2 Peter 2:4-10

1. Hell’s Hatred

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.  Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Matthew 10:28

In hell, Satan and his demons are in charge with an extreme hatred for God, blaspheming and cursing Him continuously.  All of this hatred is directed to the condemned souls in hell, and demons use their great strength to punish and torment them with no mercy!

2. Incomprehensible Darkness and Fire

“He has made me dwell in darkness like those long dead.

Lamentations 3:6

On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot.

Psalm 11:6

The natural state of hell is pitch black darkness, a palpable darkness so penetrating you can feel it.  There are also caverns of fire with raging flames where souls are eternally held captive with no escape, their eternal screams of agony, an endless soundtrack!

“There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.”

Isaiah 48:22

There is no peace of mind in hell with those eternal screams of torment and torture playing endlessly like a broken record.  When we begin to understand how severe hell is and how good God is, we should not want to take a chance with our life here on earth.  The brutal truth is, if we reject Jesus Christ in this life, we will end up in this horrible place.  There is no tolerable, comfortable place in hell, and it is far worse than the human mind can ever conceive much less comprehend.

3. No Communication

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.

Ecclesiastes 9:10

There is pleasure being with people; however, in hell there is no communication because souls are isolated from each other.  There will never be another conversation with another person, only loneliness and no purpose, no destiny, just a useless, painful, torturous existence.

There may be times when we may feel like our life is like living in hell, but we have no idea what real hell is!

4. Our Soul Is Eternal

Death does not mean we cease to exist. Our soul will live forever either in heaven or hell. Forever in hell means being separated from God, forever! Living for God in this lifetime with our hearts on eternity means spending that eternity with Almighty God!

Final Thoughts

There is no rest in hell.

There are hideous and deformed snakes, maggots, foul odor, and disgusting demons of all sizes and proportions dwelling in hell.

The fear level in hell is far beyond anything imaginable.

But thank God none of us have to go there! Jesus died on the cross for you and for me so that we can live in heaven for all of eternity.
