The Key to True Fulfillment
The Lord is good, and He is wonderful. He is the best thing that has ever happened to this world. Through Him, our life as a believer is filled with all His wonder and that wonder is irreplaceable!
1. Wonderful Counselor
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6
We may find ourselves reflecting and remembering all the good and even the painful challenges we’ve gone through in life. Maybe we are not where we wanted to be and know changes are needed to be made. These are all healthy positions to take as we formulate our resolutions for a new year.
However, if the closing out of this year has found you in a dark and painful place, know that the good news is He is a wonderful Counselor! He heals, delivers, and sets us free bringing us out of those prisons we can find ourselves captive to. We exchange our sorrow through faith in the Word of God and all His promises.
2. Faith Exchange
You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy.
Psalm 30:11
We move forward through all the challenges from this past year by continuing on this faith journey seeking His kingdom and righteousness. We don’t park in the pain of those dark challenging places because the wonderful truth is He will turn our mourning into joy. His promises are our protection from all the mistakes and all the shortcomings. He brings good out of all things even those bad and dark places the enemy assaults us with. We make the faith exchange by releasing the pain and proclaiming the word of God over every situation. We resist the enemy’s assaults of hopelessness and depression as we turn our focus to the Word of God. This is the faith exchange!
3. Year of the Lord’s Favor
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
Isaiah 61:1-3
We are going from poverty, brokenness, darkness, captivity (financially, spiritually, emotionally) to the year of the Lord’s favor, to the year of jubilee–celebration! Weeping may endure for the night but 2025 is going to be the best year you have ever had. This is going to be your year!
Final Thoughts
Bringing beauty out of ashes is the nature of God.
Brace yourself for debts being cancelled, slaves becoming free, enemies dealt with, things lost returning, doors shut opening, and restoration, restoration, restoration.
We are coming out of the darkness and walking into 2025 the year of the Lord’s favor.
