Called To Win Souls
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a Warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with joy; he will be quiet in His love [making no mention of your past sins], he will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.
Zephinaiah 3:17
Our God is a mighty warrior, a chain breaker, and so are we. This is the attitude we have to carry if we are going to accept the calling on our life to become freedom fighters for the Kingdom of God. Yes, we all have specific callings for our careers, and if we are married we are called to be a good spouse and a good parent. However, as followers of Jesus Christ we are ALL called to be soul winners and disciple makers. This is the Great Commission.

1. Step Up
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me.
Exodus 8:1
What if Moses had not stepped up and obeyed God to go to Egypt? God’s commands always require our obedience and our action. Of course, God would have found someone else. He is God and He can do anything. However, the truth is, we are His vessels, and in order for Him to get His work done here on earth, He needs us to step up, be obedient, and take action. This is how we become freedom fighters for the Kingdom of God.
2. Spirit of Authority
I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
Luke 10:19
Flesh and blood has authority on this planet. Demons do not have authority; they need a flesh and blood body to get their will done just like God needs a flesh and blood body to get His will done. If we are going to do God’s will, then we have to carry a spirit of authority in every area of our life. We have to use our God-given authority against our enemy, and demand, command, and declare the Word of God. In Jesus name I declare my body is healed! I declare my needs are met! I declare my family is saved!
3. Conquering Old Self-images
Sometimes we still identify ourselves with our old hang-ups, our old failures and mistakes, and it is a struggle to see ourselves as mighty warriors with authority. But God says, “No, I have called you to be a freedom fighter!” Therefore, we must be bold like a lion and become chain breakers and mighty warriors for God. In the Bible when God called Gideon, he was hiding in a hole afraid of his enemy, feeling like the weakest and most worthless person in the entire city. Yet, God approached him saying, “You mighty man, you mighty warrior!” Gideon eventually conquered his old self-image, stepped up in faith and believed what God told him and today we are still talking about him as a mighty warrior.
4. Word From God
Moses was not intimidated by Pharaoh and his throne because he had a word from God to “Let my People go!” Once he had a word from God he knew all heaven was backing him up. When we get a word from God for any area in our life, that word moves forward with authority! That word will move mountains and break every chain of darkness over our life and our loved ones’ lives.
